Comeback (To The Nightmare Factory!)

Double-post alert! Eagle-eyed readers will note that today's blog may seem suspiciously familiar, but I wanted to take advantage of the Comebacks release week (in theaters this Friday! plug plug plug!) to welcome all you Comebacks-curious people who so adroitly managed to find the part of our site where all of the cool kids hang out. Because nothing says ‘cool’ like comics. Work with me here, people.

For those new to the site, we publish graphic novels over here in the Fox Atomic Comics fiefdom. Our latest book, The Nightmare Factory, released last month in order to tie into all things Halloween, and we’ve been seeing some nice critical love for this very pretty book:

Boston Globe
September 17, 2007
"In a fall season typified by much more categorizable frights, Nightmare Factory provides a bitterly entertaining treat for those attuned to its storyteller's grim sentiments."

EW.com
September 26, 2007
"Makes for deliciously bleak reading as its damned protagonists find themselves ensnared in metaphysical traps they often barely comprehend."

Wizard Magazine
November 2007
"These twisted tales based on Thomas Ligotti's stories come alive in the hands of Ben Templesmith and Michael Gaydos, and others. Retaining unique styles, Ligotti's brand of psychological terror still permeates, oozing into your nightmares."

If you’re a fan of scary, cerebral books, then I highly suggest that you pick up a copy or ten. In addition, if you want to meet and greet the brains behind the book (and if you’re East Coast based), check out the upcoming live event!
